Two neighbors in conversation on a small-town main street at golden hour

Textiton

Trusted texts from people you actually know.

Where every message has a face.

Real information. Real neighbors. Real communities.
No algorithms. No advertising. No anonymous noise.

Communities have always run on trust — neighbors telling neighbors what's happening, what matters, what to show up for. Textiton is the modern rail for that conversation: a message reaches you because someone you actually know wanted you to see it. Nothing else gets through.

The Trust Architecture

Five principles. We won't compromise on any of them.

Two hands passing a folded note across a wooden table — trusted, person-to-person communication

01

Person to person, only

Every message comes from someone who knows you personally and signs their name to it. Organizations never get your number — even when a friend tells them about you.

02

Your contacts stay yours

We never share, sell, or hand off your phone number — not to advertisers, not to organizations, not even to other Textiton users. Your contacts are yours alone.

03

No algorithm

We don't decide what you see. The person who sent the message did. There is no feed, no ranking, no engagement game.

04

No advertising

We will never sell ads, sell your data, or insert sponsored content into your messages. Period.

05

You're always in control

Reply YES to share and connect. Reply LISTEN to stay engaged. Reply NOT FOR ME if it isn't your thing. Mute one author, one sharer, or all of it — your call, every time.

Got a Textiton message?

Here's exactly how this works.

1

Someone you know sent it.

A neighbor, a Community Champion, a community group you signed up for — a real person who already knows you and chose to share with you. The first message tells you who, and why.

2

Three honest choices.

Reply YES to become a Member — share with your own contacts, and reach the original author too. Reply LISTEN to stay engaged — receive messages and talk back to the friend who shared it with you, but no sharing onward yet. Reply NOT FOR ME and you're done. No friction, no judgment.

3

Your number stays yours.

We never share or sell your number. Not to advertisers, not to organizations, not even to other Textiton users. Even when you become a Member, your number stays private — only people who already had it can reach you.

When it's not for you

Reply NOT FOR ME to any Textiton message and we'll ask what you'd like to step away from. Five honest choices, gentlest first:

  • Just this thread — you're done with this topic, not the person.
  • The original author — nothing more from this person, even when others share their messages.
  • The friend who shared it — nothing more passed along by them.
  • Both the author and the sharer — combine the two above.
  • Every Textiton message from anyone — full step away.

You pick the level that matches how you actually feel. We do exactly that. No follow-ups, no "are you sure?", no friction.

How we keep your number private

Textiton isn't a group text. When a Member sends a message to 100 of their contacts, our system delivers 100 individual texts — recipients never see each other's numbers.

When Members reply or open new conversations with someone they don't already know, the messages flow through a private Textiton relay. Neither side ever sees the other's real phone number.

The only people who can see your number through Textiton are people who already had it. We don't add a single number to anyone's contact list — ever.

Built for real communities

Three of the first communities using Textiton.

We're not a giant platform looking for users. We're a small, principled rail that's launching with three real groups doing real work in real places.

A candidate listening intently to two residents on a porch

Civic communication

Donahue for Mayor

A campaign for mayor that wants to reach voters with real information about real plans — without social media's noise, anonymous attacks, or algorithm-driven distortion. Textiton lets supporters opt in, hear directly from Brian, and share with neighbors who care.

Senior community

XperienShare

An invitation-only community where seniors share skills, experiences, and dignified peer-to-peer support. Founders invite Founders. Lifetime Members invite Lifetime Members. Textiton is how the community stays connected.

Rural community infrastructure

What'sUp 24/7 Community Champions

Local Community Champions activate rural counties — onboarding businesses, surfacing events, jobs, and destinations across 15-30 counties. Textiton is how they reach the people who actually live there.

For organizations

Want to use Textiton for your community?

Towns, Chambers of Commerce, schools, churches, campaigns, associations, and community organizations of every kind are welcome on Textiton — provided you'll honor the principles above. Your members and supporters deserve real communication, not noise.

We're rolling out partnerships carefully. Tell us about your community, and if Textiton is a fit we'll help you get started.
